Apparently, the Acapulco 181 came in a kit. A meccano buy! A full assembly manual can be seen on thesamba.com.
Always fun to browse through those old magazines.I found a German magazine from 1972, reporting some testresults from a bunch of offroad vehicles. The vw 181 didn't score well, in comparison with the 4WD Range Rover, Land Rover, Nissan and Aro. Obvious... the 181 has 2WD and less HP.
The plan is simple: 1 car, 3 rocket-shaped balloons and a Belgian highway...
Mexican toys... not slammed on earlies but raised on slicks.
It is a scrappy thing... but it is equiped with an optional Airconditioning ! As usual with cool stuff: only available in the US.
Eagerly sought after by me, the smallest 181. A Noch "Spur Z" model, scale 1/220. They made these in different colors: blue, yellow, white... If you know one for sale, give me a yell!
